06:06 pm - HARD DRIVE DELIVERED!!!
So today the brand new hard drive was finally delivered! And as such editing could finally re-continue.

However as editing started the audio-out-of-sync issue still kept happening. Looking into this I discovered why: The audio is not all at the same rate.

You see Loth2 is such a huge/big/fantastic film we used two cameras to film it. Unfortunately one was set to record sound at 32000Hz, the other at 48000Hz. And somehow I've been editing in 32000 without noticing. Which means three things:

1) a converting of about 50% of the film into a different audio format.
2) a complete re-editing from scratch.
3) a new record for amount of things that can go wrong on a loth film edit.

[If anyone has any bright ideas on the whole point 1) conversion front mention them please. please....]

So yeah, Loth2 could be a while. But hey you could always vist the Lord of the Hoops Website. You never know, it could be fun.

12:39 pm - Loth release date gets nearer!
As you may have noticed post-production on the second lord of the hoops film seems to be taking a long long while.
The main reason for this is the increase of technical demands for the editing of this film (the raw footage is 9GB big!).
Luckily we here at Loth post-production studios (me in my flat), have just utilized a government grant (my student loan), to update our all-important loth editing hardware (I bought a new hard-drive), which will mean editing will be much much easier!

All of which means that the film will be released sooner! Hooray!

Who knows we may even update the Lord of the Hoops Website.

Well in a totally surprising move, WE'VE FINISHED FILMING LOTH 2!

Yes the film that you've all been waiting for is slightly nearer being finished!

In a completely unprecedented 'well-organized' day we concluded the filming of the final scenes of this second movie, and then had a cast party up a tree. All thats left now, is the editing of all the footage; which hopefully wont take too long and means Loth 2 is looking good for a 'this-year' release. A trailer may be made shortly and links will be posted if and when.

But anyhow, celebrate the amazing end of filming by giving a hearty cheer, buying a bagel or visiting the Lord of the Hoops Website.

Well, work has been done on LotH 2. Technically. All members of the cast and crew were finally present meaning we were able to continue what we'd started, but this has not been possible as we had not been able to get hold of the assistant supervisor but were constantly trying to go through his assistant. This has now been rectified and we were able to do a little more, meaning the film is really beginning to move along now. Or at least stutter along, one of the two.

Obviously, it's still not possible to really give away much yet, except that Lord of the Hoops 2 is bigger, better, and hillier than the original. We can also reveal that there is even a set bigger than 8 feet in use! As well as the improved set, some other things have been worked on now. The budget is better, the effects are better, the animation is better, the acting is worse and the music is worse. But it's all been worked on!

As well as this, we're again looking to make an extras feature longer than the actual film!

Other things that have been happening in the Lord of the Hoops world is that work for the hotly anticipated DVD of the first film has been completely ignored but actually doing some work has been thought about a couple of times. This exciting DVD will feature a completely re-edited version of the film, the extras, the music, and several bonus features as of yet undisclosed! And if you're that excited about a Lord of the Hoops DVD, it's been confirmed that there's a vague intention of eventually doing one with all three films on! Can you contain you're excitement? We can. So wait a while and some more might happen.

In the meantime, don't forget to check out the old and not improved Lord of the Hoops website, for no purpose whatsoever!
